Rising Tide Community Market, a community-owned natural foods cooperative in Damariscotta, Maine, is looking for an experienced Wellness Department Manager to join our management team. We have recently completed a relocation project to a new, expanded store. Rising Tide sells a large variety of local, natural and organic products in our Grocery, Meat, Produce and Wellness departments. We have over 2600 active member/owners, 40+ employees and have annual store sales over $3.3 million. The ideal candidate will have merchandising, buying, and management experience in the supplement and body care industry. The position requires excellent communication and leadership skills, Excel, e-mail, and database proficiency as well as an interest in supporting local producers. Responsibilities include inventory and margin control, hiring and training staff and the day to day management of the Wellness department.
