Job Description United Way of Greater Portland seeks an IT Database Manager to support and develop technology solutions in a fast paced organization. The preferred candidate will offer expert-level support of our organizational database system, web based pledging tool, and assistance with infrastructure maintenance and system upgrades. Database management will involve report generation, data scrubbing techniques, and general database stewardship. She/he will guide and educate staff in use of technology and provide second level support to end users, and serve as IT project leader in evaluation of various business operations. Job requires strong communication skills, reliability, ability to work effectively with both people and technology on a daily basis to establish meaningful solutions. Skills Required: Microsoft SQL Server Technologies including ODBC Microsoft Sharepoint Services Microsoft Office 2007, especially Access 2007 and Excel 2007 Basic web site design including .ASP, Java, CSS Additional Skills preferred: Microsoft Exchange Server VMware Infrastructure Andar Database system or familiarity with other fundraising database systems Education Requirements Bachelors degree or equivalent related work (3-5 years) required.
